Three steps, about ten seconds.
In Instagram tap the paper-plane (Share) icon → Copy link.
Paste it above. Carousel posts show every video inside them.
Choose a quality and the Reel downloads with audio.
GrabThatVideo downloads public Instagram Reels and video posts in the best quality Instagram serves. If a post is a carousel with several videos, each one appears separately so you can save just the one you need.
Stories, private accounts and Close Friends content can't be downloaded — we only fetch what anyone could watch without logging in.
| Link type | What it is |
|---|---|
instagram.com/reel/… | Reels |
instagram.com/p/… | Video posts and carousels |
instagram.com/tv/… | Older IGTV videos |
Most failed downloads come from one of these five reasons.
| Message you see | Why it happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “This video is private or needs a login” | The post is from a private account, a closed group, a Story or a Close Friends list. | Only public posts can be downloaded. Try a public post. |
| “No video found” | The link points to a photo post or an image pin, not a video. | Open a post with a play button and copy that post's link. |
| “Deleted or unavailable” | The post was removed, is blocked in some regions, or the link was cut off. | Copy the link again from the post's Share menu. |
| “Busy right now” | Many people are downloading at the same moment. | Wait one minute and try again. |
| Nothing appears in Photos (iPhone) | Safari saves downloads to the Files app, not Photos. | Open Files → Downloads, tap the video, then Share → Save Video. |

No sign-up, no history; files are deleted within minutes.
GrabThatVideo is a free web tool that saves public videos from Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn as MP4 files, with no app and no sign-up. It was built by Vipul Chaudhary, a marketer based in Bangalore, India, who wanted a downloader without clutter or pop-ups.
GrabThatVideo fetches videos with the open-source yt-dlp engine, which is updated on our server every day so downloads keep working when the platforms change their sites. Every file is merged into a standard MP4 (usually H.264 video with AAC audio), so it plays on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac without extra apps.
GrabThatVideo keeps each prepared file on its server only until you save it and deletes it automatically after 30 minutes. It does not keep a list of the links you paste and does not require an account.
Shortcut: add ?url= and a video link to the end of this page's address — for example grabthatvideo.com/?url=https://pin.it/abc123 — and GrabThatVideo fetches the video as soon as the page opens.

We don't add any watermark. You get the video exactly as Instagram serves it.
Yes. GrabThatVideo is free, with no sign-up and no app to install. To keep it fast for everyone, each visitor can fetch about 15 videos per minute.
No. GrabThatVideo keeps each prepared file only until you save it and deletes it automatically after 30 minutes. It does not keep a history of the links you paste.
On Android, the MP4 goes to the Downloads folder and appears in the Gallery or Files app. On iPhone, Safari saves it to Files → Downloads; tap the video, then Share → Save Video to move it into Photos.
GrabThatVideo runs in your browser, so there is no app or extension to install and no account to create. The file you receive is a plain MP4 video, not a program.
No. GrabThatVideo only works with public posts. If a video is private, in a closed group, or needs a login to watch, it can't be downloaded.
Downloading for personal, offline viewing is generally fine, but the video still belongs to its creator. Don't re-upload or use someone else's content commercially without their permission.
Same tool, tuned for each platform.
